Intercolor USA, Inc. was founded in 1980 by two brothers, Benjamin and Daniel Hackman, who were inspired to bring their family’s tradition of colorful jewelry to a wider market. Alan joined in 1981 and David in 1984.
Over the past 40 years, the four brothers have made their mark on the international jewelry community, providing high-quality colored gemstones with a proven track record of outstanding customer service.
The business offers a consistent supply of single gemstones, and specializes in ruby, sapphire of all colors, emerald and tanzanite.
Throughout that time, their work has brought the brothers across the globe: to East Asia, Africa and Latin America, to unearth some of the world’s rarest and most beautiful gemstones. Along the way, they have formed a network of international business partners and life-long friends.
As Intercolor USA, Inc. arrives at its 40th Anniversary, we reflect on their many milestones, among them Benjamin’s Board of Directors service, and past presidency of the American Gem Trade Association (AGTA), his past presidency of the International Colored Stone Association (ICA), and the Lifetime Achievement Award from ICA, which recognizes the company’s many contributions to the industry.
