A first for AGTA GemFair Tucson happens on opening day night, Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024—the new Opening Night Party! It takes place in the foyer of the beautiful new addition to the Tucson Convention Center, on the entry level next to registration, 6 p.m.–8 p.m. GemFair takes place Jan. 30–Feb. 4 (Sunday). Sponsors include:

- Sara Gem Corporation, Cocktail Sponsor
Registration is not required but you need an AGTA badge to attend.
High-top tables will be set up to hold drinks and nibbles. And while there won’t be any music playing, the sounds of joyful conversations about day one purchases will fill the air. The affair will be a great way to unwind after stocking up on beautiful gems and jewels.
“Spend the day with us and then stay for a cocktail,” says John W. Ford Sr., CEO.
The party’s signature cocktail is the Desert Rose, a rose-tea infused, tequila-based drink with prickly pear puree and key lime juice. Light bites include chipotle chicken and sweet potato and blue corn taquitos (vegan), and a Kosher option will be available. Sweets include a selection of different flavors of mini cheesecakes.
