Joel McFadden is a third-generation jeweler who began working in his grandfather’s store when he turned 12. Since then, he’s worked in various trade shops and owned jewelry stores in Massachusetts, New Jersey, and now North Carolina. He contributes columns to MJSA Journal and Southern Jewelry News. He also served as technical editor of the MJSA Press book At the Bench Vol. 2: Tips, Tricks, and Step-by-Step Projects (2019).
