  • The AGTA Gemological Testing Center will have its mobile laboratory onsite conducting colored gemstone identification and country of origin testing. This is one of the most valuable sales tools buyers and exhibitors can find at AGTA GemFair™ Tucson. AGTA GTC reports give consumers the confidence they need when purchasing color. The AGTA GTC provides accurate, unbiased results with the highest level of confidentiality. The AGTA Mobile Laboratory will be located in the Onyx Suite.
  • AGTA GemFair™ Tucson offers unparalleled educational seminars featuring topics that are current, relevant and immediately useful for growing your business.
  • One of GemFair's long-standing traditions is the annual AGTA Coyote Classic Golf Tournament. The tournament will be held on Monday, February 4, 2008! Join us for a day of networking and competition to help raise money for the Special Olympics.   • The AGTA Dinner Dance and Awards Gala will take place on Saturday, February 9, 2009, at the Marriott University Park Hotel in Tucson, Arizona.  The evening, sponsored by Jewelers Mutual, Inc., starts at 7:00p.m. with a cocktail reception followed by a seated dinner, live entertainment and dancing. The Diamond Council of America is sponsoring the entertainment.  Join us for the opportunity to mix and mingle in a relaxed atmosphere with hundreds of the industry's top suppliers, designers, manufacturers and retailers. Registration

AGTA's annual GemFair is open only to qualified professionals who purchase wholesale for the purpose of resale.
The deadline for pre-registration was December 31, 2007. You may register onsite any day of the show or stop by the Tucson Convention Center for our Early Bird Registration to simplify the process from 2:00 - 5:00pm Tuesday, February 5. This is the day before the show opens and no exhibits will be open. The following information will be needed to qualify you as a buyer at GemFair and to process your registration onsite at Early Bird or any day of the show:

Proof that you are buying wholesale for resale. This proof can consist of ANY of the following:

  • JBT number if listed in the Jeweler's Board of Trade or
  • Copy of Business License or Tax ID Certificate. If the company name on the business license or tax certificate does not reflect that your company is in the gemstone,  mineral or jewelry industry you must  provide copies of invoices documenting at least $5,000.00 in total purchases in the past year from three different suppliers for gemstones, jewelry, castings, or jewelry equipment, or
  • Proof of affiliation with jewelry industry associations such as AGTA, MJSA, NAJA, IDCA, etc. or
  • Letter of reference as a wholesale customer from an AGTA member on his/her company stationary

Each Buyer must provde both of the following:

  • Personal business card with the company name on it for each Buyer. If a business card is not available, that employee may bring other proof of employment such as a copy of a company paycheck stub, W-2 or insurance paperwork for that employee.
  • Government-issued picture ID for each buyer must be shown on site. Examples of this required ID are a driver's license or passport.

Please Note: 

  • If you attended the 2007 AGTA GemFair™ Tucson you will be automatically pre-registered for our 2008 show.  Badges begin mailing out to U.S. and Canadian buyers in mid-December.
  • Buyers badges are mailed to U.S. and Canadian companies only. Any international or non-buyer badges must be picked up on site.
  • All Guests must be registered and picked up on site at the Guest Registration counter. Guests may not be pre-registered. Each guest must bring a government-issued photo ID and be accompanied by a qualified AGTA buyer from a registered company to register on site. Each buyer company may have one guest for free and up to three additional guests at a cost of $25 each.
  • If you cannot qualify as a buyer, you may register as a Student on site with the appropriate paperwork. You must provide a recent or current student ID from a gemstone or jewelry educational institution as well as paperwork showing recent completion of a course. Your company name will be the same as your name on the registration form and your badge.
  • Guests and Students are not permitted to bring guests.
  • Children may attend GemFair under close supervision of their parents. If they are disruptive, they will be asked to leave the show.
