to hold Gemological Conference in Chicago, September 13-14, 2008

Glenview, IL- Gemworld International, Inc., along with the American Gem Trade Association Gemological Testing Center, announces their first joint gemological conference to be held on September 13-14, 2008, at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare. Gemworld is the producer of the GemGuide and GemGuide Appraisal Software, and the AGTA Gemological Testing Center is celebrating its 10-year anniversary as an independent major colored gemstone laboratory in New York.

The key theme of the conference is "Integration of Information." Co-chair of the conference Richard Drucker explains, "We are bringing some of the top gemological topics to this conference presented by some of the best in the industry. We intend to have many seminars on subjects such as treatment identification, and then integrate this into valuable information on pricing and disclosure. We will have broad appeal to retailers, wholesalers, and appraisers. The conference promises to be fun and educational with a chance to network with industry leaders." The cost of the conference is $395 and includes all breakfasts and lunches with a cocktail reception on Saturday. Early registrants before May 1 can save $50 and subscribers of the GemGuide or members of AGTA receive an additional $50 discount.
