2008 SPECTRUM AWARDS:
All Entries Featured on AGTA Website

Dallas, TX – August 16, 2007 – The American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) has announced that all entries submitted into the AGTA Spectrum Awards competition will be photographed and featured on the Association's website: www.agta.org.  Entrants will also be given the opportunity to add a link to their website from the posted image.  This is the first time the AGTA has featured the entire collection on their website.

In an effort to promote the work of so many dedicated designers and artists, the Association feels displaying their work on the website will enable new designers exposure they might not have otherwise received.  For those entrants not interested in having their work displayed, they will be allowed to opt out.

The American Gem Trade Association is currently accepting entries for the AGTA Spectrum Awards and Cutting Edge Awards competition through September 25, 2007.  All jewelry designers and lapidary artists throughout the United States and Canada are urged to participate.  Entrants do not have to be a member of the AGTA to enter.  Any jewelry produced after October 2006, and not previously entered into an AGTA competition, may be entered.  Entries must be finished pieces; no drawings will be accepted.  Entry forms can be found online at www.agta.org.

The awards competition spotlights natural colored gemstones and cultured pearls.  Winning pieces are displayed at major trade shows and potentially showcased on covers of national trade magazines.  Winning an award in this competition is considered one of the industry's most esteemed honors due to the rigorous judging process and caliber of entries.

All entries submitted will be displayed for a media event where magazine editors, fashion stylists, producers and costume designers will be in attendance.  This is a great opportunity for all designers – aspiring and acclaimed – to take advantage of what entering the AGTA Spectrum Awards can offer.
